Titans: Season 1 Reviews
The first time I watched the first episode, I turned it off after about 10 minutes. I had heard that the characters were off, but I had never imagined it could be so bad!!!
So, I gave it another try. I told myself: "Let's just pretend those people aren't Robin-1 (Dick Grayson), Raven, Starfire and Beast Boy. Let's just say they're other super-heroes." It kinda work.
If you want to like this series, just make sure you either 1) have never heard of any of those character or 2) pretend the characters are not who they are named after.
Gave it 2 1/2 stars because, once you understand that Dick Grayson isn't the real Dick Grayson, just some policeman with the same name, the story is half-decent (for a teen TV series).
But, just like for the series "Arrow", I can't get over the fact that ROBIN KILLS PEOPLE... and it's obvious that the writers thought it would be a good idea to do this to make him look "dark" and "cool" and "edgy".
You just turned Robin-1 into a cold-blooded killer.
Which brings the question: why did Batman let him go, after he killed Tony Zucco? That doesn't make any sense!
And why is Jason Todd still Robin-2 if HE'S ALSO KILLING PEOPLE!?!
STOP MAKING THE BATFAMILY KILL PEOPLE!!! It's not cool. You're undoing the reason people consider them heroes: because Batman 1st rule is: Never Kill!
I still have 2 episodes to go, but I'm already bored and disgruntled.
The story boring.
The characters are far way from their comic/animated counterparts.
